Applicants applying at the Spanish visa application Centre shall be levied a service charge of INR 1174 /- for Mumbai and INR 1174/- for New Delhi (inclusive of service tax 15 % & education cess) payable in cash. Children under 6 are exempted from service charge.

As per instruction received from Consulate General of Spain, Checklist Mumbai needs to be duly filled in by the Applicant/Travel Agent/Authorized representative and needs to submit along with the Visa Application. Please note it's mandatory to provide the same and is applicable for all India.

Original Application form for Schengen Visa duly filled in and signed by the applicant in blue ball point ink. A recent photograph (35-45 mm) of the applicant with white background must be attached on the application form. The application form must be correctly filled, facilitating all the possible information requested in the form including postal address, email address and telephone number.

The application can be submitted personally or by an authorized person at the BLS International Services centre; or at the Consulate General of Spain (subject to prior appointment)
If the application is being submitted directly at the Consulate General of Spain in Mumbai, then the fee must be paid via bank draft payable at Mumbai in favor of Consulate General of Spain, Mumbai, in accordance with the place of application. The applicant must write his/her name, date of birth, and passport number behind the draft. A photocopy of the draft must be submitted along with the application.
Passport of the applicant with at least two blank pages, which should be valid for at least three months after the duration of intended stay. This document should have been issued in the last ten (10) years. Photocopy of all the pages of the present passport must be submitted. Submission of all old passports is mandatory. Incase if applicant has lost old passport then he/she can submit copy of complaint lodged with Police or for any other reason of not submitting it he/she can provide a covering letter mentioning the reason for the same.

In case of refusal of visa and you wish to appeal, You need to submit your appeal that is in agreement with the established procedure in the denial sheet.
Please be informed that the denial document provided specifies the appeal procedure to be followed in case you do not agree with the decision thus taken. This procedure is mentioned in the denial letter. Furthermore, any additional documents which you feel would support your file can be submitted for the appeal procedure. Please note you need not submit your Passport in an appeal case. The decision on an appeal case can take up to one month. This appeal has to be submitted at the BLS Visa Application Center under Mumbai Jurisdiction
Alternatively, you can also make a fresh visa application by procuring an appointment at the BLS centre. In this case, you will need to `provide us with 15 days in order to process your visa.

For Family visa applications applicants are requested to submit proof of family relations with the principal applicant as an additional document with the visa application, for example

BLS will accept a photocopy of the document after verifying with the original at the time of submission. In case if you are unable to present an original, kindly submit the photocopy of the same legalized before a Notary public. (This requirement is only applicable for West and South jurisdiction as per The Consulate General of Spain, Mumbai)
With regards to the documents submitted with the visa application such as the Marriage certificate and Birth certificate of family visa applications, documents only in English language or translated to Spanish will be acceptable for all files.
Kindly note that if the documents are in any regional language, they must be translated to English or Spanish by any language institute with official stamp and signature of the translation institute/agency.
Documents in regional languages such as Marriage certificate and Birth certificate will not be acceptable.

Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at the Embassy of Spain/Consulate General of Spain. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same. Please note as per the instructions received from Embassy of Spain minimum processing time is 15 working days (It may delay depending on case to case).
All applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the proposed date of travel to accommodate any unforeseen processing delays.
Processing time will start excluding the date of submission of application at BLS International Services.
