The Spain Visa Application Centre does not prepare visa applications, but accepts and processes applications in accordance with the instructions issued by the Embassy of Spain and Consulate General of Spain.
No it is not mandatory to come personally, you can also send any representative to submit your visa application. For collection of passport as well, if you are unable to make it in person, you can send any representative for collection with a letter of authorization by you, identification document (Photo ID proof copy) and original acknowledgement receipt from BLS. Applications by Post are not accepted and shall be returned without processing the application. You must visit the Spain Visa Application Center in person to submit your application.
Note: Applicants applying Delhi, who have submitted their biometrics previously, have to be present for a new application photograph that will be taken on site.
The Spain Visa Application Centre is an acceptance centre and, as such, is not authorized to advise/recommend any visa type to a prospective applicant. The applicant will have to find out the visa category he/she is eligible for based on the purpose of travel. He /she can do so by visiting

Once your application has been registered in our system, you will be issued a receipt for the fees you have paid and it would be possible to track your visa at https://blsivac.com/spainvisa/india
Once the application has been processed by the Spain Embassy/ Consulate General and your passport has been returned to the Visa application centre,,you will need to bring your receipt and acceptance proof with you for collection of your passport. The Spain Visa Application Centre can also courier your application to you as long as the address provided by you is serviceable by our courier partners, Blue Dart Couriers.
As per update, BLS charges have been revised with effect from 31st July 2017, from 1107/- to 1160/-.

1. Kindly note that passport collection will only be given to the applicants and will not be given to any agent or third party.
2. Applicant can collect passport for the family members.
3. For Group passport collection – person (from a company) who is coming for collection should have a authority letter from the company or a institute with the name of applicants. (No Travel Agents will be entertained).
Note: Walk in applications presented at Embassy of Spain, New Delhi with short processing time (less than 15 working days) will not be acceptable from 16/05/2017.
Spain Visa Applicants for MUMBAI Jurisdiction are requested to come by online appointment, as we have increased the number of appointment slots. A Minimum of 15 days gap is required between the date of travel out of India to the date of application submission at BLS International Services, MUMBAI office.
